Clean Sharm, the new community initiative that has started beginning of 2009 to address the garbage problem in the wider Sharm El Sheikh area.

Clean Sharm operates in collaboration with the government, the new company for garbage collection SES, local NGOs and private companies to protect our environment.

During the first meeting in Ghazala hotel, on February 12, 2009 in which Clean Sharm was initiated, many motivated volunteers joined to support positive action through:

- the coordination group (Core Group)
- the education/awareness raising group (EDU)
- and the Clean Up days
